Government schools in South Africa are facing a huge crisis, with the majority of students from broken homes. This challenge has been exasperated by Covid-19 with social distancing requiring the educators to repeat each lesson 3 times.
3 years ago, God gave Günter a dream, showing him that principals and educators were the ones in real need of encouragement and empowerment, in order to meet this huge challenge.

The Students of Westham Secondary School come mainly from the Amaoti African township, a very broken-down

community, with dysfunctional families and child-headed homes.

We first visited the school 2 months ago and have gotten to know the principal quite well.

He comes from a very poor family himself, and therefore can identify and has compassion with the children’s struggles.

Often the children are very discouraged because of the neglect from their parents and having to live in very challenging circumstances at home.
